Join us for a guided nature and forest therapy walk through the Lyndale Peace Garden under June’s Full Moon, known as the “Strawberry Moon.” Located on the north shore of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, Lyndale Park is home to some of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s most beautiful gardens; on its grounds are: the Annual-Perennial Garden, the Peace Garden, and the Rose Garden. During the walk, participants will be guided through a Shinrin-Yoku (“forest bathing”) practice by Leigha Horton, Certified Guide and mentor with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs.
Please note:
*We recommend participants arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of our walk and plan to stay through the scheduled duration. Due to the guided nature of Shinrin-Yoku, we are unable to accommodate latecomers.
*The nearest restroom facilities to our walk are port-a-potties located at the Peace Garden parking lot, which close at 10 pm. Please plan accordingly.
*The walk will continue rain or shine, except in cases of severe weather.
*Free, accessible street parking is available near the park – otherwise there is off-street parking available for a fee in the lot adjacent to the park.
Full details, including specific meeting location, what to bring, and onsite amenities will be provided in a registration confirmation letter.
