Join us for a guided nature and forest therapy walk through Silvae Spiritus Northwoods Nature Retreat. Located in Finlayson, Minnesota, halfway between Minneapolis / St. Paul and Duluth, Silvae Spiritus sits on 30 acres of deciduous woods, meadows, ephemeral ponds, with trails throughout. An area long-inhabited and tended by the Dakota and Ojibwe people before colonization, this land and water is presently managed and tended by Silvae Spiritus in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources under a Woodland Stewardship Plan. During the walk, participants will be guided through a Forest Bathing practice by an ANFT Certified Guide.
Forest Bathing at Silvae Spiritus walks allow for interested participants to have a short break after the conclusion of the walk, then flow directly into the 90-minute Community Sauna Session. Sauna space is limited, registration required; if interested in adding sauna to your Forest Bathing experience, be sure to select the Community Sauna add-on while registering.
Please note:
*We recommend participants arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of our walk and plan to stay through the scheduled duration. Due to the guided nature of Forest Bathing, we are unable to accommodate late attendance.
*There is a public restroom on-site, next to the parking area.
*The walk will continue rain or shine, except in cases of severe weather.
*Free parking next to meeting location.
