Join us for a guided nature and forest therapy walk through Como Regional Park under July’s Full Moon, known as the “Thunder Moon.” Located one mile east of the Minnesota State Fair grounds, Como Regional Park is a 450-acre outdoor haven for the area’s urban population. Featuring a Conservatory with lush gardens, an award-winning zoo, small amusement park, golf course, pool, athletic fields, picnic pavilions, and a lake surrounded by wildflower gardens, Como Regional Park has played a vital role in meeting the recreational needs of residents of Saint Paul and surrounding communities for over one hundred years. During the walk, participants will be guided through a Shinrin-Yoku (“forest bathing”) practice by Leigha Horton, Certified Guide and mentor with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs.
Please note:
*We recommend participants arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of our walk and plan to stay through the scheduled duration. Due to the guided nature of Shinrin-Yoku, we are unable to accommodate latecomers.
*The nearest restrooms to our walk are located near the picnic shelters, which close at 9:30 pm. Please plan accordingly.
*The walk will continue rain or shine, except in cases of severe weather.
*Free, accessible parking is available on-site.
Full details, including specific meeting location, what to bring, and onsite amenities will be provided in a registration confirmation letter.
