Join us for a guided nature and forest therapy walk through the Dodge Nature Center. Located about five miles south of downtown Saint Paul, the Dodge Nature Center Main Property is a 110-acre outdoor is a lively destination bustling with nature programs, field trips, and an on-site nature preschool. Hiking trails meander through forests, prairies, and wetlands. Features of this property include a working farm, raptor mews, and bee apiary. During the walk, participants will be guided through a Shinrin-Yoku (“forest bathing”) practice by Leigha Horton, Certified Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs.
Please note:
*All registrations for this event will take place through the Dodge Nature Center’s website (registration link above). Sorry, Silvae Spiritus-issued discounts cannot be used for this walk.
*Be sure to review Dodge Nature Center’s Visitor Guidelines before arrival.
*We recommend participants arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of our walk and plan to stay through the scheduled duration. Due to the guided nature of Shinrin Yoku, we are unable to accommodate latecomers.
*The nearest restrooms to our walk are located at our trailhead.
*The walk will continue rain or shine, except in cases of severe weather.
*Free, accessible parking is available on-site.
COVID-19 Safety
This program will be held primarily outdoors, with CDC and MN Department of Health procedures in place. Please dress for the weather. Amid the spread of the Delta variant, face masks are required for all participants and staff while indoors, and any outdoor activities where a physical distance of 6 feet cannot be maintained outside of your immediate family group.
