Join us for a guided nature and forest therapy walk through the Rum River Central Regional Park. Located in Anoka Country, Rum River Central Regional Park features a diversity of river, prairie, and woodland settings covering 434 acres. It also provides a wide-array of outdoor recreation and access to the pristine Rum River canoe route. During the walk, participants will be guided through a Shinrin-Yoku (“forest bathing”) practice by Leigha Horton, Certified Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs.
Please note:
*All registrations for this event will take place through the Anoka/Hennepin County Community Education website (registration link above). Sorry, Silvae Spiritus-issued discounts cannot be used for this walk.
*Anoka County Parks permit required for park entry ($30 annual, or $6 one-day).
*We recommend participants arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of our walk and plan to stay through the scheduled duration. Due to the guided nature of Shinrin Yoku, we are unable to accommodate latecomers.
*The nearest restroom to our walk is a port-a-potty (with no running water access) located at our trailhead.
*The walk will continue rain or shine, except in cases of severe weather.
*Accessible parking is available on-site.
