SUMMARY:Full Moon Forest Bathing at Dodge Nature Center
DESCRIPTION:Join Silvae Spiritus Nature & Forest Therapy for a guided forest bathing experience under the Full Hunter’s Moon at Dodge Nature Center in West St. Paul!   \nForest Bathing is a slow-moving\, deeply sensory\, mindful and “bodyful” walk in nature that has shown to result in measurable physiological\, cognitive\, and emotional benefits. Much like walking meditation or yoga\, these activities can be practiced on one’s own\, almost anywhere\, and yet the benefits greatly increase with regular practice. And much like meditation or yoga\, the experience can be significantly more immersive when facilitated by properly trained and certified guides. \nOver the course of this walk\, you will be given a series of invitations—suggested ways to connect to your surroundings. The experience will be mostly silent\, honors each participant’s personal space\, and covers just about a mile and-a-half over generally flat surfaces. \nAt the end of each invitation\, the group will have an opportunity to share a few words of reflection\, integrating the experience both internally and within community. The walk concludes with tea and light snacks. \n\nRegistration required at least 24 hours in advance.

DESCRIPTION:Nourish 04: A Community Land-Tending Day\nSunday\, October 26\, 2025\n12 noon – 5pm*\n*Dinner and Sauna to follow \nA woodland workout with friends awaits! This autumn’s projects will include firewood splitting\, stacking\, and storing; gathering kindling on “stick walks”; creating wildlife habitat piles from deadfall; trail and fire-pit tending; and other projects that make themselves apparent. If you have loppers\, chainsaws\, reciprocating saws\, axes\, or other tools you think would be helpful\, bring them along! We will have some tools to share use of\, as well as some work gloves and goggles – if you have your own\, even better! We recommend sturdy\, close-toed shoes or boots\, and sturdy work clothes that could get snagged on brambles and still protect you from scratches. \nNourish events are always free\, and are followed by hot dinner and a sauna session (with adjacent bonfire for those choosing to not partake in the thermic cycle). Registration required for all participants. Donations toward operating costs are gratefully accepted\, but never expected.
